NCC
The National Cadet Corps of college has been working efficiently and rigorously since the establishment in 1979. Initially the corps was limited to male only but since 2016- 2017 the cadet corps started to admit the girl students also. Currently we run the approved batch of 55 from 22 Maharashtra Battalion NCC Satara. There are 18 girl cadets and 37 boy cadets in NCC.
NCC Cadets represented in National level camps like THAL Sainik, Army Attachment and National Integration camps. In the last five years 54 cadets have been selected in the Indian Army.
Aims and Objectives
National Cadet Corps has set its aims and objectives to run the unit efficiently and to inculcate the moral values, ethics, discipline and national integrity among students.
- To develop the holistic approach of cadets for the National integrity.
- To imbibe the moral and ethical values among cadets.
- To develop the spirit of adventure and selfless service to nation.
- To create well trained, educated and motivated youth to serve country in the Armed forces.
- To create the social awareness among the cadets.
- To contribute to the social welfare by providing the skilled and motivated human resource

Syllabus
NCC Cadets have to complete ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate courses in an NCC. Kolhapur Group Head Quarter gives the guidelines and designs the question papers for the examination of ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates and 22 Maharashtra Battalion conducts the examination as per the schedule declared by Kolhapur Head Quarter. The syllabi and study material for the examination is as follows.
Regular Activities
NCC cadets are selected through the physical and written examinations. Cadets are selected by checking their physical fitness in 1600 meter running, pull-ups, sit-ups and pushups. Cadets are selected by the Army Hawaldar appointed by 22 Maharashtra Battalion, Satara. NCC department conducts various activities to maintain the unity and discipline.
Physical Fitness:
The department of NCC focuses on the physical fitness of its cadets to prepare them mentally and physically strong in their lives. We conduct the parade on every Tuesday from 08:00 a.m to 09:00 a.m. The physical fitness drive of cadets is being conducted by the Parade Instructor (PI) from 22 Maharashtra Battalion, Satara and by the Troup leader of NCC Cadets. The events like 800 meters running for girls, 1600 meters running for boys, pushups, sit-ups and dips.
Drill:
The closed drills are being conducted on Tuesday and Friday on the college ground while the open drills are being conducted on outside the grounds on the occasions of the birth anniversary of Karmveer Bhaurao Patil, Maharshtra Day on 1st May, Martyr’s Day on 6th July and Vijay Din on 16th December and while paying homages to the martyr soldiers.
Lecture:
The lectures of NCC cadets are being conducted on every Tuesday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The syllabus of ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates gets covered through these lectures.
