Extension Activities & Best Practices

Indian economy has witnessed a dynamic change from offline to digital modes of payment. The department practices the government initiatives of promoting digital economy in almost all economic sectors. The department organizes following activities and programmes for creating awareness regarding use of e-payment modes such use of Banking Cards, Mobile Wallets, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Bank Pre-paid Cards, Micro ATMs, Point of Sale machines (PoS), Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) and Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) in the rural sector.
