Here goes a brief information of our college……..

It’s our great pleasure and privilege to let you know that our college has been accredited at A++ Grade with 3.77 CGPA at 4th Cycle of Assessment by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore recently in August, 2023. It is also certified with ISO 9001-2015.

The college, established in 1968, is run by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara which renders quality education to poor and downtrodden masses in the 14 districts of Maharashtra state and 01 district of Karnataka state. The college is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur and imparting quality education in rural and hilly area in the jurisdiction of Satara district.

At present, college offers 05 UG programmes with 16 subject options in Arts, Commerce, Science, B.C.A. and B. Voc. (Sustainable Agriculture) streams. It also offers 03 PG programmes with 07 subject options in Arts, Commerce and Science disciplines. Apart from the regular programmes, the college also provides the facility of distance education of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. It also runs a Center of Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik.
The unique feature of the college has been to cater to the needs of students hailing from rural and economically backward strata of society, some of whom even are the first-generation learners. Concerted efforts are made to provide excellent education to such students so as to bring about remarkable change in their academic performance at the end of each programme.
At present, 2650 students are studying in the Senior College, Junior and Vocational Sections. Besides, the college offers 1 Career Oriented Certificate Course and more than 50 Skill Based and Value-added Short Term Courses.
The college takes pride in its qualified and active faculty involved in research and innovations. The faculty members filed and published 27 patents and published 425 research papers in national and international indexed journals of repute having good impact factor. The MoUs and Collaborations with National and International institutes and laboratories have proved beneficial in inculcating research culture among students, faculty and stakeholders of the college.
The college has infrastructure with Academic Wing, Science Wing, Library Building, Ladies Hostel, Support Service Building, Cafeteria/ Canteen, Indoor Sports Complex, and Spacious Play Ground.
The college has a glorious tradition of achieving Awards and Medals in Curricular, Co-curricular as well as Extra-curricular activities such as University Research Avishkar Competitions, Youth Festival Events, Sports, NSS and NCC Activities at University, State and National levels.
The college has been rewarded and appreciated by GOs and NGOs for its contribution in outreach programmes and activities.
