Distance Education
The Distance Education Centre runs the Courses offered by:
- Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik
- Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Distance Education Centre.
The basic purpose is to bring the students in the stream of education who have been deprived due to the familial, financial and other problems. The regular students also have the facility of getting the dual degrees. The student get benefit through distance education for getting the job. Promotion in the present job or appearing for the competitive examination.
The Center for Distance Education (CDE) is working in the area of Higher Education and taking efforts to make higher education accessible to the deprived, disadvantaged and marginalized group of society.

Aims and Objectives
The aim of Distance learning Education system is to provide guidance, study materials and offer education to the deprived students.
- To provide an effective alternative path to wider opportunities in education, especially in higher education.
- To provide an efficient and less expensive education.
- To provide education facilities to all qualified and willing persons.
- To provide opportunities of academic pursuits to educated citizens willing to improve their standard of knowledge.
- To provide education facilities to those individuals who look upon education as a life-long activity
