Physics Department established in 1968, offers UG programme in physics. The faculty have been consistently engaged in research, patents, consultancy and commercial products. The faculty have registered and published 14 patents, 1 trademark and developed 10 commercial products for the benefit of society and stakeholders. Faculty inspire students and young faculty members to participate in the research competitions like avishkar, science exhibition wall paper, poster and model presentations. Department has organized international conference, University syllabus workshops, skill-based workshops, industrial visits and trainings, short term courses and student seminars.
Prin. Dr. V. S. Sawant has filed 5 product patents and 2 PCT. The Department has taken initiative through Research & Development Cell for establishment of 02 Startups under the scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Govt. of India, UGC, AICTE under National INNOVATION and START-UP Policy 2019 for student and faculty

- D. P. Bhosale College, Koregaon is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur (MS). The Department of Physics follows syllabus of the courses framed by Board of Studies in Physics of the said university. General Outcomes of the syllabus are as follows:
- To understand the concepts and significance of the various physical phenomena
- To carry out experiments to understand the laws and concepts of Physics
