Field Visit at Wai: Friday, 7th January 2022

The students of department of Chemistry and B.Voc. (Sustainable Agriculture) participate in different activities to learn field knowledge. The prescribed syllabus is learnt in the class and laboratory activities. However, exposure to the nature and outside world definitely add to the knowledge of the students and enhance their experiential learning. Organization of field visit is one of the activities which aimed at taking students to the places where they can learn something new.
Total 43 students and 04 faculty namely Prof. Dr. S. D. Jadhav, Dr. V. S. Koshti, Mr. S. U. Kanase, Mrs. Kanase departed from D. P. Bhosale College early in the morning at 6.30 a.m. on 7th January, 2022. Mask and Sanitizer was distributed to all student and instructed them about precaution COVID-19.
Later on all headed towards Mafro Garden Pachgani. The manager of Mafro garden explained step-by-step the how Mafro factory work and their instruments. The maneger answered the questions raised by the students. Prof. Dr. S. D. Jadhav thanked to manager for guiding the students providing more information about the workings of the Mafro industry and marketing.
Students understand the about how factory work and their requirements. Also they understand the role of each instruments located in factory. Practically the students may understand the industrial chemistry According to Shivaji university syllabus.

Field Visit at Mafro Factory and Market

Field Visit at Pratapgad

Pratapgad is a large, mountain fort located in Satara district, in the Western Indian state of Maharashtra. The fort is situated on a mountain 24 kilometres from the Mahabaleshwar hill station. The fort is now a popular as a tourist destination. The fort’s historical significance is due to the Battle of Pratapgad, which took place here on 10 November 1659, between Shivaji and Bijapur Sultanate general Afzal Khan. Chatrapati Shivaji’s killing of Afzal Khan was followed by decisive Maratha victory over the Bijapur army.
The fort stands 1080 metres (3543′) above sea level and is built on a spur which overlooks the road between the villages of Par and Kinesvar. The fort has a Tulja Bhawani temple from Shivaji’s time. It has murti of goddess Bhawani, which has eight hands (Marathi : Ashtbhuja).

Field Visit at Dapoli Krishi Vidyapeeth

We reached to Dapoli Krishi Vidyapeeth at morning, Students visited different places in university. They observed number of plants and they classify it, the flower plants, medicine plants, decoration purpose plants. Students interacted with professor of each departments and collect the knowledge accordingly

Field Visit at Kaju-Factory Dapoli

We further visited to the Food processing unit named that Kaju-factory Dapoli. The manager explain the process of Kaju-factory, Row material, pre-process on Kaju seeds, quality of final kaju and their classes.
