The Department of Computer Application, established in 2005, has been offering the UG program. The syllabus of this program is designed by Shivaji University, Kolhapur. It is in compliance with UGC Regulations. The syllabus is highly useful for students to acquire basic computer skills, programming skills as well as management and marketing skills. The department has developed its own Departmental Library which consists of more than 300 reference books in e-book format.

The Department of Computer Application has been conducting various activities like Guest Lectures, Workshops, Wallpaper Publication, Industrial Visits, Online Quizzes, Seminar, PowerPoint and Project Presentation, etc. The Department also runs Certificate Course in “Web Designing” which helps students to develop effective and professional websites.

Syllabus & Outcomes
D. P. Bhosale College, Koregaon is an affiliated college to Shivaji University, Kolhapur (MS). The Department of Computer Application follows syllabus of the courses framed by Board of Studies in Commerce and Computer Application of the said university. General Outcomes of the syllabus are as follows:
- Students will be able to apply knowledge of ICT in solving business problems.
- Students will be able to learn various programming languages and custom software.
- Students will be able to design component, or processes to meet the needs within realistic constraints.
- Students will be able to identify, formulate, and solve problems using computational temperaments.

Short Term Course
The Department of Computer Application runs Short Term Course in ‘Web Designing’. The main objective of this course is to inculcate skills related to development of professional websites among students.
Prime Objectives
- To understand the basic requirements and allied technologies in web designing and development.
- To learn basics & different tags of Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML).
- To design web layout through Cascading Style Sheet (CSS).
- To develop website responsive using client-side and server-side scripting.
- To acquire skills which help to develop professional websites.

Field Visits
Department of Computer Application organized Industrial and Field Visits. The main objective of these activities is to make students aware about industrial environment. The department visited places like Infosys, Pune as an MNC industry and Marathi Vishwakosh Karyalaya, Wai, Satara to learn & understand digitalization process of old, rare books and role of computer technology in digitalization process.
