About Department

The Department of Computer Application, established in 2005, has been offering the UG program. The syllabus of this program is designed by Shivaji University, Kolhapur. It is in compliance with UGC Regulations. The syllabus is highly useful for students to acquire basic computer skills, programming skills as well as management and marketing skills. The department has developed its own Departmental Library which consists of more than 300 reference books in e-book format.

The Computer Laboratory is equipped with high-speed internet connectivity and the licensed copy softwares-

  • Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Adobe Dreamweaver
  • Tally ERP 9.0

The Department of Computer Application has been conducting various activities like Guest Lectures, Workshops, Wallpaper Publication, Industrial Visits, Online Quizzes, Seminar, PowerPoint and Project Presentation, etc. The Department also runs Certificate Course in “Web Designing” which helps students to develop effective and professional websites.

The Computer Laboratory is equipped with the ICT tools and the following licensed copy softwares:

Short Term Course

The Department of Computer Application runs Short Term Course in ‘Web Designing’. The main objective of this course is to inculcate skills related to development of professional websites among students.

Prime Objectives

  • To understand the basic requirements and allied technologies in web designing and development.
  • To learn basics & different tags of Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML).
  • To design web layout through Cascading Style Sheet (CSS).
  • To develop website responsive using client-side and server-side scripting.
  • To acquire skills which help to develop professional websites.
